What is the Model United Nations?

The Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations where high school learners represent different countries, debate global issues, negotiate solutions, and draft resolutions.

It offers students a valuable opportunity to develop important skills such as:

  • Public speaking and persuasive communication
  • Critical thinking and research
  • Diplomacy and negotiation
  • Leadership and global awareness

Participation in MUN also strengthens learners’ academic and leadership portfolios while exposing them to real-world international issues in a structured and stimulating environment.

Conference Topic

Deepfakes, disinformation, and the protection of electoral integrity and public trust

As artificial intelligence and digital media continue to evolve, societies around the world are facing growing concerns about misinformation, manipulated content, and the impact these can have on democratic processes.
