• 10 May 2025 Model United Nations Workshop at 1st Hellenic Scout Hall, SAHETI School, Bedfordview.
• 24 May 2025 Model United Nations Conference at 1st Hellenic Scout Hall, SAHETI School, Bedfordview.

Key Changes for 2025

  • Participant Limit: Each session will be capped at 40 participants, ensuring that every delegate has ample opportunity to express their views during discussions.
  • Focused Topics: We will concentrate on a single topic per session, allowing for in-depth exploration and the development of comprehensive, written resolutions.
  • MUN Workshops: We will conduct workshops designed to equip students with the skills necessary for effective participation in MUN. These sessions will cover everything from crafting opening statements to drafting resolutions.
  • Top caterers will provide snacks and refreshments at both the MUN workshops and conferences.

Model United Nations Workshop – 10 May 2025 at 1st Hellenic Scout Hall, SAHETI School, Bedfordview.

  • A four-hour session in which we train students on how to effectively participate in the MUN.
  • Step-by-step guidance from opening statements to resolution drafting.
  • Tips on starting and maintaining a school MUN club.
  • Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
  • Limited to 40 participants per session. 
  • Cost: R289 per delegate (2 teachers per school attend free).
  • You have the option of attending either the morning (8am to 12 noon) or the afternoon session (12:30pm  to 4:30pm).
  • Topic: Escalation of Global Trade Wars – Do Protectionist Measures Safeguard Domestic Industries or Hinder Global Economic Growth.
  • 2 or 3 students per assigned country.
  • Date – 10 May 2025

Model United Nations Conference – 24 May 2025 at 1st Hellenic Scout Hall, SAHETI School, Bedfordview.

  • A four-hour MUN debate competition.
  • Students delve deep into one topic, and go through:
    • Opening statements (speeches)
    • Formal Caucus (debate)
    • Informal Caucus (negotiate)
    • Resolution Drafting. 
    • Limited to 40 participants per session
    • Topic: Escalation of Global Trade Wars: Do Protectionist Measures Safeguard Domestic Industries or Hinder Global Economic Growth.
    • You have the option of attending either the morning (8am to 12 noon) or the afternoon session (12:30pm to 4:30pm).
    • 2 or 3 students per assigned country.
    • Cost – R289 per delegate. Chaperoning teachers attend for free.
    • Date: 24 May 2025
