Step Into the World of Global Diplomacy 🌍
Are you ready to debate the most pressing international security questions of our time?
EduFleek is proud to invite South African high school students to participate in our Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, hosted at SAHETI School on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
This immersive academic experience challenges students to think critically, speak confidently, and engage thoughtfully with complex global issues, just like real UN diplomats.
Conference Topic
Assessing the Legitimacy of Unilateral Military Interventions under International Law
In recent years, the world has witnessed increasing instances of military action taken by individual states without explicit United Nations authorisation. These developments raise urgent and difficult questions for the international community:
When, if ever, is unilateral military intervention legally justified?
Does self-defence override state sovereignty?
What happens when the UN Security Council is unable to act?
How can international law be strengthened to prevent abuse of power?
At this conference, delegates will represent countries from around the world, analyse international law, debate opposing viewpoints, and work collaboratively to draft realistic and lawful UN resolutions.
Why Students Should Participate in Model United Nations
