Join us at our upcoming High School Model United Nations Workshop and Conference this winter at SAHETI School, Bedfordview. Open to all high school learners with an interest in global issues, public speaking, or debate, this two-part event is designed to build confidence, critical thinking, and global awareness—one resolution at a time.
What Is Model UN?
Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the actual United Nations. Students take on the roles of delegates from various countries, research current global topics, debate policy, and draft resolutions just like real diplomats. It’s a space where young minds grow into globally conscious leaders.

📍 1st Hellenic Scout Hall, SAHETI School, Bedfordview
⏰ Choose from: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM OR 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
This hands-on workshop will guide students through:
MUN structure and speaking procedures
Researching country positions and writing position papers
Mastering diplomatic debate and negotiation
Starting a MUN club at school
Cost: R289 per student (Teachers attend free)

🗣️ Topic: De-escalating Regional Conflicts and Protecting Civilian Populations
This formal simulation includes:
Opening speeches representing national stances
Structured and unstructured debate
Team-based resolution writing
A real-time vote on solutions to today’s urgent crises
