Could your learners be crowned Africa’s School Quiz Champions?
At EduFleek, we believe academic extracurricular activities should spark curiosity, strengthen learning, and give students meaningful opportunities to grow. The 2026 Africa School Quiz Competition is designed to do exactly that.
This exciting continental competition gives learners the chance to test their knowledge, think under pressure, and compete with confidence in a dynamic academic setting. Covering Science & Technology, Geography & History, Wildlife & Conservation, and General Knowledge & Current Affairs, the quiz encourages students to engage with what they learn in class while also expanding their understanding of the world around them.
Our primary school competition is open to Grade 4 to Grade 7 students (Year 4 to Year 7, fifth year of primary school to seventh year of primary school), while the high school competition is open to all high school students.
The competition begins with a first round for participating schools, followed by continental finals in October 2026, which will be held online. In selected first-round online match-ups, learners will compete alongside students from another school in a different African country, with the top performers in each grade progressing to the finals.
This cross-country element makes the competition especially valuable. It gives learners the chance to measure themselves against peers beyond their own school and country, while building a wider sense of identity, confidence, and connection across Africa. Competing with students from another country also adds excitement, raises the standard of preparation, and gives learners a memorable academic experience that feels both local and continental.
Why should your school take part?
The Africa School Quiz Competition offers real academic value for learners. Participation can help students to:
- improve their general knowledge and stay more aware of the world around them,
- strengthen their understanding of key academic subjects,
- develop faster recall and sharper thinking under pressure,
- improve listening skills, concentration, and mental agility,
- build confidence in answering questions publicly,
- deepen curiosity and motivate independent reading and research,
- reinforce classroom learning in an engaging and competitive format,
- and develop healthy academic ambition through meaningful competition.
For teachers and schools, the quiz is also an excellent way to promote a culture of learning, celebrate academic excellence, and give learners a goal that encourages preparation, discipline, and pride in achievement.
There is an entry fee per student. Participants in the first round will receive certificates, while finalists will compete for prizes and trophies. EduFleek is also bringing sponsors on board for the 2026 competition, so participants can look forward to even bigger and better prizes.
The competition is conducted in English and is open to students from South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Namibia.
